Sports blogging from a rational point of view? Perhaps. When rooting for Ohio sports teams, its never rational because for the most part the teams we follow never give us much of a reason to believe. They lose spectacularly. They wallow in mediocrity and demonstrate an unfaltering willingness to be average - on a good day. They stand back and watch their players get cherry-picked by richer teams from sexier cities.

And yet, we come back season after season.

This site aims to be the rational voice for the Ohio sports fans that know while our passion might not make much sense, we understand winning make sense. We’ll use statistics, evidence, and yes, some opinion when discussing the Indians, Reds, Browns, Bengals, Buckeyes, etc. We’ll try to dig deeper and avoid the knee jerk reaction. (We can’t promise our Twitter feed won’t be full of emotional outbursts). We’ll analyze, discuss, and debate. We’ll even disagree.

If you like your sports with a side of boob jokes and sophomoric humor - go to those sites. They’re pretty damn funny and we’d be lying if we didn’t enjoy those sites. But we aim to offer something a little bit different. Snooty? Not unless you’re threatened by logic and common sense. Too academic? Perhaps. But we enjoy using our brain - even when talking about sports.
